MODD Texas Pack Leader Wearing Razorback Hat??? Why in the world would The Worthy Pack Leader from the Texas Pack of the Military Order of the Devil Dogs be wearing a Razorback Hat?

Is he a Razorback fan at heart? Hmmmm.

Young Marines and The League The Young Marines of the Marine Corps League demonstrated their support of the Marine Corps League with professionalism and honor a the Department of Arkansas 2010 Convention in Conway, AR.  From manning the registration tables to setting up and serving food at the Grand Banquet, the Convention would not have been nearly as successful at it was.
Iwo Jima Marines Honored at 2010 Department of Arkansas Convention The 2010 Department of Arkansas convention was the site of a reunion 65 years in the making.   The Department of Arkansas had two Marines and a Navy Corpsman who served on Iwo Jima as guests for the Convention.
National Commandant Calls the Hogs The Department of Arkansas was honored to host the National Commandant, James Laskey, at the 2009 Department Convention in Fort Smith, Arkansas. 

After an eventful Convention, the National Commandant swore in the officers for 2009-2010.
Devil Dog Pound Grows
The Military Order of the Devil Dogs is the Fun & Honor Society of the Marine Corps League.  Arkansas' first Pound was chartered in 2009.  At the 2010 Department of Arkansas Convention, a growl was conducted and six new pups were initiated into the order.

June 16, 2011 Conway, Arkansas -  The Conway-based detachment of the Marine Corps League was renamed in honor of one of its members, Dale W. Langford, who reported in to St. Peter in 2010. Read more...

The official birthday of the United States Marine Corps, on November 10, 1775, was when the Second Continental Congress decreed:

"That two battalions of Marines be raised consisting of one Colonel, two lieutenant-colonels, two majors and other officers, as usual in other regiments; that they consist of an equal number of privates as with other battalions, that particular care be taken that no persons be appointed to offices, or enlisted into said battalions, but such as are good seamen, or so acquainted with maritime affairs as to be able to serve for and during the present war with Great Britain and the Colonies; unless dismissed by Congress; that they be distinguished by the names of the First and Second Battalions of Marines."

New License for AR Veterans

Arkansas veterans will now have proof of military service on their driver’s license or identification card, beginning July 1, through a new driver’s license design. The word “Veteran” will be placed below the individual’s picture on the updated format.

The designation was created by “The Nick Bacon Remembrance Act” in memory of the former Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs director and Congressional Medal of Honor recipient who passed away in 2010. The bill was introduced by State Representative John Charles Edwards through the efforts of Veterans' Commissioner Tom Thomas of Searcy.
